Oton Župančič path fron Dragatuš to Vinica

This path is dedicated to the great Slovenian poet Oton Župančič. It runs from the poet's birthplace Vinica to the village of Dragatuš where he spent his childhood years. The path wanders through the typical Bela krajina landscape, boasting with its natural and cultural attractions. The traditional hike from Dragatuš to Vinica is organized every second Saturday in June, taking hikers through the Lahinja Regional Park, the villages of Hrast and Perudina, up the Žeželj hill above Vinica and along the pilgrim path to Golek.   • Difficulty: Relatively easy. The path is virtually level, mostly passing through meadows and forests. Only the ascent to the Žeželj hill and the descent along the pilgrim path require some skill.
