Pečarič Farm is located on the sunny side of the Gorjanci mountain range, in a village Čurile near Metlika. The farm has been associated with winegrowing for several centuries. Even though the records about the beginnings of grapevine cultivation in the area are scarce, the farm’s standing towards the end of the 19th century suggests that significant progress had already been made. At that time the farm had two hectares of vineyards which was an exceptionally large amount by Bela krajina’s standards of the time.
The family home boasts a wine cellar and a shop where the range of their offer is displayed. Their vineyards are located in Vidošiči and Vinomer. They produce both red and white varieties of wine; quality, and premium quality wines, predicate wines, and sparkling wines as well. They are also successful in the production of straw wine made from dried grapes.
In recent years they have expanded their offer with guided wine tastings of a choice selection of wines intended to promote wine-drinking culture in theory and practice.
The House of Wine Pečarič can accommodate up to 60 people. During a guided degustation guests can indulge in excellent wines and in the »belokranjska pogača« flatbread.
A congress hall is available to accommodate larger groups, workshops, seminars and private functions.
