Ethno Museum
Bela krajina lore
You can also visit the ethnographic museum on the premises of the Bela Krajina Heritage Centre (in the old town centre of Črnomelj). Experience an interactive and authentic exhibition where, using the old tools and equipment (spinning wheel, distaff, carding machine, loom, comb, etc.) of Bela Krajina ancestors, you will learn about the processing of wool, flax and hemp.
The museum’s demonstrations are suitable for all age groups and people with special needs, as they provide a hands-on introduction to wool, linen and the finished products.
Activity timetable:
Mon–Fri mornings at 10.00 and 12.00, afternoons at 14.00 and 16.00,
Sat from 10.00 to 16.00,
Sun by arrangement for private groups.
Price: adults, single entry: 6 EUR;
children up to 15 years old: 3 EUR;
family ticket: 12 EUR;
groups of over 10 people: 20% discount; disabled visitors: 50% discount
