Children's experience in Gače - Kočevrčkanje presents children with what life was like for children 500 years ago in the location where we are now. The children get to know the Kočevar, their customs and habits, dress in the traditional clothes of the time and learn about the chores and tasks that the children had at that time. In the school at the Gaško škrat, they learn about the nomadic language, medicinal plants, songs and shepherd games. After school there are chores such as mowing the grass, washing clothes and cooking lunch.
The children's experience offers children a visit with animators dressed in traditional nomadic costumes. Children dress up in clothes from a bygone era, get hats and baskets for picking plants. During the experience, they make a traditional flute, learn about medicinal plants, learn nomadic words, help with old chores, prepare a dish with herbs, and learn shepherd's games and counting.
Available in August and September every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
