Collection of academician prof. dr. Vinko Kambič and his wife Vilma Bukovec Kambič is a rounded cross-section through the top creations of Slovenian visual art, from paintings and statues from the Baroque period, through an exceptional and rich collection of paintings on glass, chests, clocks, stylish furniture to the heritage of Slovenian artists. The donation includes 230 items, including eighty-three works of art by twenty-three authors, from the generation of our realists and impressionists to artists living today. A special place certainly belongs to the prominent figure of Impressionism, Rihard Jakopič, and on the other hand, as many as eighteen works by one of the most successful painters, Zoran Mušič. The Kambič donation is certainly a collection of national importance that should not be overlooked by students of Slovenian fine art.
