Discover Bela Krajina in a fun way. Laughter guaranteed.

"Surprising, slightly shocking, upsetting, genuinely laughing or at least slightly relaxing today's tourist, stealing a piece of his attention, are the goals of every tourist provider. If you manage to overcome his indifference, to stimulate his emotions, you have succeeded. The tourism product Brihtna Glava Elementary School manages to build on all of this. An individual as part of a group (a student in a class) actively participates in a simulated lesson from our semi-past history. He never knows when the strict teacher will call him to the blackboard, where he will have to show his (lack of) knowledge. The main actress keeps the group in constant expectation and concentration, and at the same time provides educational material - the characteristics, peculiarities, and heritage of the Bela Krajina. As part of the learning process, participants actively co-create the content and receive experiential education. In this way, the learned material remains significantly more firmly preserved in the memory compared to a dry lecture or other teaching methods. Humor plays a very important role in this, although students should never, nor dare to, completely relax. "

The duration of the school lesson is 45 minutes

    “Brihtna glava” Primary School

In Radovica at Metlika, there is a building of the former primary school, which functioned as an educational establishment by 1976. After longs years, a “proper” school opened its doors here. The conceptual design of Toni Gašperič aroused the interest of the local Andrej Bajuk. With great enthusiasm and interest, he started renovating the room and searching for appropriate objects. This was followed by long-term browsing through the past, collection of old school objects and accessories. A classroom from old times was made, an image from the 1950s. Andrej Bajuk became the headmaster, while a strict comrade teacher was entrusted with teaching. The headmaster Andrej therefore transformed the classroom back into a state it was in the past. By now, it is probably clear that this is a staged scene where the headmaster, the comrade teacher and the school secretary each play their roles; but you, dear pupils, are the most important, sitting with great expectation at a school desk and participating in an hour full of historical and cultural insights of Bela krajina.
