The family Madronič has taken up agritourism in 1978. They have initially combined farming and tourism in the restored mill, later in the family house and recently in the new guesthouse, which caters to expectations of even the most demanding visitors.
The mills on the Kolpa river have long since stopped grinding, but the Nature Park Kolpa still attracts many visitors. They do not come to the land of white birches that intersperse the fern groves and the land of Saint George’s Day celebrations by chance; they do so intentionally to enjoy the beauty, hospitality and culinary delights of the Bela krajina region.
The family business Madronič, hospitality and tourism, LLC, provides a wholesome tourist experience by relating its tourist and catering enterprises to the natural resources tied to the Kolpa river. The river attracts most guests in the summer, especially swimmers, nature explorers, cyclists, fishermen, boaters, and others. You can spend your vacation at the Madronič’s by camping in the summer, or you can rent a boat and spend your time exploring the natural beauties of the Kolpa river valley.
