What you need to know for a healthy and safe holiday in Slovenia

The Homestead offers pastry, bread, “pogača” flatbread and “potica” rolled up cake. The emphasis is placed on the baking of the certified Bela krajina “pogača”, buckwheat “potica” with cottage cheese and “prosta povitica” (rolled up cake with simple filling). They use less sugar and no raising agents.

They host get-togethers, wedding celebrations, banquets, lectures, celebrations, anniversaries, weddings, presentations, workshops, courses etc. They also host organised groups.

The internal room is suitable for up to approximately 40 persons; you can hold lectures, presentations, workshops and banquets there. The exterior room is suitable for picnics, parties and different games. The exterior room in the barn can take up to approx. 100 persons. You can also spend the night on hay.

From the spring to winter, you can visit the outdoor museum under the straw-covered “kozolec” (typical Slovenian hayrack). You can see the devices and the machines that have been used for cereal production. Upon prior reservation, they demonstrate cereal threshing with the help of a horse-drawn winch for organised groups.

They also offer a tour of the “Topolovec” Partisan Hospital Museum Collection at the Škof Homestead.
