Župančičeva kolesarska pot
An indispensable choice for lovers of cultural, historical and
natural sights. The intermediate cycling trail will amaze
even more demanding recreational cyclists since the trail above the Kolpa River across the villages of Zilje, Balkovci in Preloka ascends steadily. A beautiful side trail to the village of Marindol creates a real experience of peace among the Bela krajina “steljniki” meadows. The trail is named after our fellow countryman, poet and writer Oton Župančič, who was born in Vinica, Bela krajina, and spent his youth in Dragatuš. The trail is predominantly lead through the Kolpa Regional Park and the Lahinja Regional Park.
