Pottery products
The love for clay and the knowledge of the old potters have been technologically and formally transferred to today.
Martin and Jasmina Skoliber are self-taught. They use Slovenian clay and fire their pottery in an electric kiln. They use white and brown clay as raw material for their products. They like to incorporate traditional Bela Krajina ornaments into their products.
The Skoliber couple is one of the last Bela Krajina potters who preserve tradition and produce useful household products.
They have obtained the quality certificate for:
- tray for Bela KrajinP pogača
- pottery dish for hot dishes
- ceramic cup
- ceramic bass
- amulet
- salt cellar
In 2023, Martin's tray was selected by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO) as one of two Slovenian handicraft products to take part in the World Culinary Souvenir competition.
The products can be obtained in the provider's atelier at home, in the TIC Črnomelj and in the online shop belokranjski-izdelki.si.
