When the slopes of Belokrajna are covered with snow, recreational alpine skiers and cross-country skiers like to go to the Ski Center Gače.
At an altitude of 700 to 965 meters above sea level, there are ski slopes, cross-country trails and a training ground. There is also a ski school, where former ski competitors, sports educators and ski coaches with extensive international experience work. Ski equipment rental and service is also available.
Ski resort Gača is suitable for all skiers, from beginners to professionals.
It offers excellent skiing for everyone and a wonderful view over Dolenjska and Bela krajina all the way to Triglav.
There is no shortage of wonderful cross-country and toboggan runs on the ski area - and large, varied terrains are also suitable for carving skiing.
On a 2,800-meter-long track, the ski area has the possibility of super-G with a height difference of 550 meters and extremely good conditions for the development of night skiing. The ski resort has a three-seat lift and 5 lifts with a capacity of 5,400 skiers per hour.
Food and drink? Cottage and Buffet!
In Koča Gače, warm yourself by the warm fireplace, refresh yourself with home-made dishes and house beer. On the terrace of Bifeja Gača, enjoy the view with a winter cocktail and a burger. There will also be always up-to-date alpine evergreens, as befits a real ski resort. Sunglasses are a must.
They can also organize various celebrations, picnics, birthday parties, teambuildings or even an outdoor wedding in the green, unspoiled Kočevski rog.
