This July, immerse yourself in enchanting Friday evenings at the picturesque Župančič Garden, located in front of the Oton Župančič Memorial House in Vinica. Experience the magic of summer nights accompanied by performances from renowned musicians, offering a perfect blend of culture and nature under the open sky.
Katarina Juvančič & Dejan Lapanja made their entry into the music scene in 2009 by participating in a national radio contest for new songs. Their track Uej Uej (Magdalenca) marked the beginning of a unique musical journey. Their sound, best described as alt-folk, is rooted in the rich, narrative world of human destinies and female sensibilities. Their music builds a bridge between contemporary trends and the poetic traditions and emotional depth of folk music. Joined by numerous guest musicians from Slovenia and abroad, the duo has released three acclaimed albums: Selivke (2012), Hope's Beautiful Daughters (2014), and Vmesje (2017). They are recipients of both the Bronze and Silver Awards at the international singer-songwriter festival Kantest. Their touring history spans Slovenia and its neighboring countries (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Austria), as well as performances across Scotland, Ireland, Portugal, England, Germany, India, Kyrgyzstan, and Sri Lanka.
