Visit the permanent exhibition Ljubiteljev zaklad / collection of academician Prof. dr. Vinko Kambič and prima donna Vilma Bukovec

The collection of academic Prof. Dr. Vink Kambič and his wife Vilma Bukovec Kambič is a rounded cross-section of the finest creations of Slovenian fine art, from paintings and sculptures from the Baroque period, through an exceptional and rich collection of paintings on glass, chests, clocks, stylish furniture, to the heritage of Slovenian artists. The donation comprises 230 objects, including eighty-three works of art by twenty-three artists, ranging from the generation of our Realists and Impressionists to artists currently living. A special place certainly belongs to the prominent figure of Impressionism, Rihard Jakopič, and on the other hand to eighteen works by one of the most successful painters, Zoran Mušič. The Kambič donation is certainly a collection of national importance that should not be overlooked by students of Slovenian art.
