Tour of the permanent exhibition Bela Krajina in the reflection of seven millennia

The exhibition is introduced by a 15-minute film, "Images of Bela Krajina," which provides visitors with an introduction to the history and cultural and natural heritage of the landscape between the Gorjanci Hills and the Kolpa River, presented in words and pictures. Bela Krajina is unique in geographical, ethnic, cultural, and historical terms. We do not know exactly who its inhabitants were, but the stories of the people who lived in this area before us are woven together by objects. Vessel from the 5th Millenium BC from Moverna Vas, gold coin from the 3rd century BC found in Podzemlj, amphora from the 6th century found in Črnomlj, Metlika Guild Book from the 16th century. More than 25,000 objects form the Bela Krajina Museum's treasury, which enriches the national collection of cultural heritage.
