Kambič Gallery

In 2003, the Bela Krajina Museum proudly accepted donations of objects from Dr. Vink Kambič, a passionate collector and doctor from Metlika, and his wife Vilma Bukovec, an opera prima donna. The Bela Krajina couple's love of art and beauty can be felt in their fascinating collection of paintings, sculptures, and other works by giants of Slovenian culture.
The collection of national importance consists of cultural and historical objects (furniture, clocks, lamps, paintings on glass, handicrafts) and works of art by various Slovenian artists (from the generation of the Realists and Impressionists to the artists still living today). The Kambič Gallery is housed in the birthplace of Academic in Metlika, which he dedicated to his birthplace, along with his rich cultural collection.
