Oton Župančič Memorial House
Meet the giant of Slovenian modernism at the memorial house of the poet Oton Župančič in Vinica. The exhibition Župančič - Master of Words presents one of Slovenia's most important poets, as well as an outstanding translator and essayist. There are also exhibitions Vinica - Centuries by the Kolpa River and Meritorious people of Bela Krajina.
The House offers guided tours of the Župančič - Master of the Words collection, both for school groups and the general public. Visitors learn about the life and works of Otto Župančič and the riddles, which are especially highlighted in the outdoor beehive.
We organize various creative workshops, which are adapted to the children's age and the current monthly theme.
In addition to guided tours of the exhibition, we also have an additional program and temporary exhibitions that can be visited during the visits.
We invite you to visit our museum shop during opening hours, where you can find gifts for your loved ones or take away a souvenir that will remind you of a pleasant visit to the house.
Visits outside opening hours must be booked at least 3 days in advance. The price of an out-of-hours visit is subject to a 50% surcharge.

Admission to SHOŽ Vinica is free for:
- Pre-school children, school groups, disabled persons and persons accompanying disabled persons, journalists and promoters of all kinds.
- Members of national and international professional associations (SMD, ICOM).
- Participants in all kinds of lectures and training courses organised by the Public Institute.
Free admission for all visitors to SHOŽ Vinica during the following events:
- on the occasion of the Cultural Day (8 February),
- international Museum Day (18 May),
- summer Museum Night (June),
- world Tourism Day (27 September),
- the "Ta veseli dan kulture" event (3 December).
